Assignment #28: GOING TO THE MARKET 4.25
We heard about the bull and bear in New York trading deerskin for food but what we didn't know is that they bought the food so they could SELL it to OTHER people.
They each decided to build a market.
One was called "THE BULL'S MARKET" and the other was called "THE BEAR'S MARKET".
Remember, people traded deerskin for things they needed,like food and clothes.
A 'buck" is also a male deer.
Instead of saying "Pay me 5 pieces of deerskin for 5 bananas" they said "Pay me 5 bucks".
So here we go again, the bull and the bear were competing against each other.
Who's market would be the best?
The bear and the bull decided to build their markets in New York near the wall that they started trading deerskin at. A man by the name of "Mr. Hattan" owned both of the buildings and the wall that was on the street. They didn't know Mr. Hattan's first name so they just called him "Manhattan" on Wall Street.
The bear and bull had to pay "Manhattan" rent to use the wall and building.
Each of their rent was 100 bucks a month.
So not only do the bear and bull have to sell their food, they had to pay rent!
They were nervous but they wanted to beat each other on this competition.
YOUR TASK WILL BE TO DETERMINE WHO made
the most bucks AT THE END OF THE MONTH.
WHOEVER MADE THE MOST BUCKS WINS THE COMPETITION.
